Las Vegas is a great place to take kids on vacation.

No, really. Hear us out.

Beyond the adults-only nightclubs and summer pool parties, there are tons of kid-friendly attractions both on and off the Strip for everyone to enjoy, including parents, little ones and teens.

Here’s a quick guide to planning your family trip in Sin City, without any sin in sight.

Some of these Vegas attractions are open year-round, but be sure to check the calendar before you travel for a roster of kid-approved special events, concerts, shows and seasonal spectacles for some added fun under the desert sun.

Downtown Container Park

Venture off the Strip to the Downtown Container Park, an open-air shopping center, restaurant scene and play space built from repurposed shipping containers.

Kids will especially love The Treehouse, an interactive playground featuring slides, giant foam building blocks and other hands-on activities, not to mention the 55-foot tall praying mantis sculpture and The Dome. Surround yourself with 14 million pixels of 360-degree imagery in this 4K ultra high definition entertainment experience.

Check the Container Park calendar for special events and movie nights as well.

Marvel Avengers S.T.A.T.I.O.N.

Take your comic-book fans to the Marvel Avengers S.T.A.T.I.O.N.. This immersive attraction features a series of interactive mini-games and exhibits where you can explore the case files of Captain America, Hulk, Thor and Iron Man, and ultimately become de facto members of Earth’s mightiest heroes.

Award-Winning Shows

A trip to Vegas isn’t complete without tickets to one of the world-class performances taking center stage along Las Vegas Boulevard.

We recommend Blue Man Group, a colorful and immersive experience the whole family will enjoy, and Cirque du Soleil’s O, an aquatic acrobatic spectacle that’ll have everyone’s jaws dropping.

CSI: The Experience

Ideal for tweens and teens, this hands-on interactive experience puts you right in the middle of the action as you step into the shoes of a real crime scene investigator. Match DNA, compare tire tracks, examine bullet casings and blood splatter (gross!).

Then head to the state-of-the-art crime lab to see if you’ve identified the suspect to receive an official CSI diploma.

High Roller Observation Wheel

Get a birds-eye view of the sparkling Strip below by taking a slow ride on the High Roller Observation Wheel, an encapsulated Ferris wheel towering at 550 feet.

Neon Museum

The whole family will light up for this distinctively Las Vegas attraction: a two-acre neon boneyard home to more than 200 vintage signs and marquees from the city’s glory years. Take a guided tour, and remember to bring your camera for some of the best photo ops you’ll find around the Strip.

DISCOVERY Children’s Museum

Discover three stories of educational and engaging exhibits for little learners. They'll stay busy and use their minds exploring:

  • A 70-foot tower and climbing structure
  • The ECO City, where kids learn how to grocery shop and run businesses to reduce their carbon footprints
  • Several hands-on water, sand and engineering stations
  • An art room that feels like stepping into a Dr. Seuss book

Vegas Indoor Skydiving

A great activity for the young and young at heart, Vegas Indoor Skydiving gives you the chance to feel the sensation of skydiving in the comfort of a contained, safe environment.

Natural beauty in Nevada just off the Las Vegas Strip.

It might seem hard to pull yourself away from the glitz and glamor of the Strip, but it’s worth it to experience some of Nevada’s nearby natural wonders.

Stick with one of the area’s top rated guides, like DETOURS of NevadaBlack Canyon River Adventures or Gray Line Tours, which offer kid-friendly itineraries that make stops at unique places, including the Grand Canyon, Hoover Dam and Lake Mead.

Where to Stay in Las Vegas

Staying at one of Las Vegas’ high-energy mega-resorts is undoubtedly fun, but between the clouds of smoke and late-night casino noise, they’re not the ideal place for families.

Thankfully, there are five Hilton Grand Vacations properties from which to choose, offering a quiet respite from the hustle and bustle while still allowing you to plug into all the action.

Choose from spacious studios with kitchenettes to multi-bedroom suites with full kitchens, spacious bathrooms, living and dining areas, and private laundry facilities designed to help you spread out and settle in along the Strip.
