We viewed “The Sound of Music,” which was so good. One day at the festival wasn’t enough. You can spend several days roaming and enjoying the activities, including evening cultural events.
Our 16-year-old grandson, Zev, had never been fishing before our vacation. While in Cedar City, I casually conversed with a gentleman buying loads of fishing goods. It turns out the shopper, Jim, owned a resort on Lake Panguitch. Jim spent five hours with our grandson, teaching him the basics of fishing on his dock and on one of his many boats.
They caught 12 rainbow trout and released eight; in the final hour, Jim taught Zev how to clean fish. One day fishing with Jim changed my grandson’s life and made us heroes. This experience added so much pleasure to our family vacation.
