Scottsdale Links Resort, a Hilton Vacation Club — located about 45 minutes northeast of Phoenix, Arizona — is one of Hilton Grand Vacations’ recent additions.
I enjoy visiting friends in Phoenix, where I used to live. On this trip, I decided to stay at Scottsdale Links Resort for the first time in a 1-Bedroom Suite. I booked this resort six months ahead of my arrival.
Here’s a tour of my Suite and the resort’s amenities. Overall, I found this resort great for families but also set up for an adults-only crowd.
The Kitchen
One of the wonderful features of the Suites at Scottsdale Links Resort is the size of the kitchen. There’s plenty of counter space, and the kitchen is big enough for two people to cook together. The kitchen also opens into the living room so whoever’s cooking can chat with others.
I tended to use the kitchen for breakfast and lunch and use the grills for dinner. Obviously, there are wonderful restaurants in the Scottsdale area, so eating out is also an option.
The Dining Room
Another nice feature of the Suite was the separate dining room, allowing groups to have a “sit down” meal like at home.
The dining room is almost as large as the living room, and it has with a large window that lights up the room. There are lights centered above the table for evening dining.
The Living Room
My room was on the second floor and had a large living room. There’s a large TV and a ceiling fan. A large window brightened the living room. The couch opens up into a queen-size bed, so there’s space to sleep four people.
The Bedroom
The bedroom is a nice size with a king bed and plenty of storage. You can enter the balcony from the bedroom or the living room. The balcony is a great place that seats four, whether to share a meal or sip on morning coffee.
There’s also a walk-in closet perfect for storing luggage. I really liked the closet size, which made my Suite feel less like a hotel, where luggage ends up spread around the room. This storage would be especially good for a family.
Amenities
The two pools are near the front desk. The adult pool is the smaller of the two pools, with a more intimate feel to it, along with a hot tub. There are plenty of lounge chairs to relax on.
The family pool area is the larger of the two. It also has a children’s play area where kids can run around a splash pad.
The property also has a fitness center and plenty of barbecue grills. For families, there’s a playground and recreational area with activities like air hockey, chess and foosball.
